How to Submit an Appeal if your Singapore PR Application is Rejected:

Can you appeal against a Singapore PR application rejection? Yes, you can appeal the rejection of your application by either:

  1. Mailing your appeal to the PR department of ICA or

  2. Hand-deliver a hardcopy of your appeal to level 5, ICA Building

This must be done within six months from the date of your application's rejection. You may be required to fill up a request form which can be obtained at the reception desk of the Permanent Residence department on level 5 of the ICA building.

To mail your appeal to the ICA, ensure you have included your application reference number. You can mail it to:

Permanent Residency Department

ICA Building

10 Kallang Road

Singapore 208719

It is also highly advisable to avoid mentioning that you would like to stay in Singapore for general reasons, such as Singapore's cleanliness, strong economy, and other reasons on why you enjoy being in Singapore as the ICA is already well aware of this and probably receives these types of letters all the time. Rather, to increase your chances of successful reconsideration, you should focus your appeal letter on:

  1. Your activities that show you are well-integrated into the Singaporean society
  2. How you and your family are rooted in Singapore (Relatives who are PRs/Citizens, children doing well in school, time spent in Singapore, etc)
  3. Your achievements towards your employer and your work
  4. Your future plans should your application be successfully reconsidered (Intent to apply for Citizenship, Setting up a company, etc)
  5. Other factors you feel will showcase your integration into Singapore
